Among Us, the social deduction game that took the world by storm in 2020, has just received a major update that brings a new map, new tasks, new cosmetics, and new ways to deceive your friends. The new map is called ‘The Fungle’ and is inspired by a tropical jungle full of giant mushrooms and carnivorous plants.
The new map is the largest and most diverse yet, offering players plenty of opportunities to explore, interact, and sabotage. Crew members will have to perform tasks such as fishing, roasting marshmallows, playing frisbee, and fixing machines. Impostors can use the mushrooms to release spores that obscure vision, hide within plants that look like vents, and use a zipline to move quickly around the island.
The map also features a hide-and-seek mode, where impostors must find and eliminate crew members before they complete all their tasks. Crew members cannot report bodies or call emergency meetings in this mode but can communicate via voice or text.
In addition to the new map, the update also brings new thematic cosmetics to personalize your character. You can choose from hats, clothing, and pets inspired by mushrooms, flowers, and insects. The update is free for all players on consoles, PC, and mobile devices.
