Archosaur Games cancels Avatar: Reckoning

The shooter game inspired by the movie Avatar will no longer be released for mobile platforms.

Avatar: Reckoning, the online shooting game set in the world of Pandora, has been canceled by Archosaur Games, the company responsible for its development. The news was announced in an official press release by the company, citing strategic reasons for the decision.

The game had been announced in 2020, with a scheduled release for 2024, both in China and the rest of the world. The game promised to provide players with an immersive experience in the universe of James Cameron’s blockbuster movie Avatar, which was a box office success in 2009.

The company stated that the cancellation will not impact its financial situation or its other products, such as Dragon Raja and Noah’s Heart, two successful mobile MMORPGs. The company also expressed gratitude to fans for their support and interest in the game.
