Bandai Namco has announced the development of a new MOBA game based on the Dragon Ball universe, called Dragon Ball Project Multi. The game is being developed by the Japanese company Ganbarion and will be distributed by Bandai Namco.
Dragon Ball is a popular anime and manga series created by Akira Toriyama, known for its focus on martial arts and having millions of fans worldwide. This will be the first official MOBA game in the series.
Dragon Ball Project Multi is a MOBA game with 4 vs 4 battles. Players will be able to take on the roles of main characters from the anime, such as Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Majin Boo, and others. The official trailer shows many of these characters in action. In addition to choosing characters, players can customize them with skins and other items, which is one of the main ways the game will make money.
The game aims to offer an exciting strategic battle experience, similar to the recent success of Pokémon Unite, another MOBA based on an anime series.
A regional test for Dragon Ball Project Multi is scheduled from August 20th, 6:00am to September 3rd, 5:59am (UTC). The test will be available in Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States. Players can access the game on iOS, Google Play, and Steam. More details can be found on the official web page.
According to the game’s page on Steam, Dragon Ball Project Multi will initially be available only in English and Japanese. However, more languages may be added in the future. So far, there is no information about the game being available on Google Play Store or App Store, and the release date has not been announced yet.
