Playdigious has announced that Children of Morta will be released for mobile devices on October 7, 2024. The RPG will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. The pre-registration pages are now available on the Google Play Store and the App Store, and the game will be priced at $8.99
Originally released on Steam in 2019 by 11 bit studios, Children of Morta lets players control the Bergson family members. Each member has unique skills, and players must explore randomly generated dungeons, fight enemies, and equip their characters.
Unlike other RPGs, in Children of Morta, players develop an entire family, not just one character. Each team member plays a key role in fighting monsters, so players need to carefully decide which character to upgrade first.
One key feature of Children of Morta is that dungeons are generated randomly. This means players will always find a different dungeon, even when returning to old ones to gain more experience.
The game’s graphics are in hand-painted pixel art, with frame-by-frame animations. This visual style adds to the game’s unique look and feel.
Playdigious will handle the mobile distribution of Children of Morta. The company has also distributed other well-known games like Little Nightmares, Skul: The Hero Slayer, Streets of Rage 4, Dead Cells, and more.
The mobile version of Children of Morta will include all available DLCs. However, the online cooperative DLC will not be available at launch but will be added in a future update. The game will also support Game Center achievements, external controllers, and cloud saving on both iOS and Android.
