Dragon Quest Tact, a free-to-play strategy RPG, will have its global service terminated on February 29, 2024, as announced by the publisher Square Enix and the developer Aiming. The game was initially released in Japan in July 2020 and globally in January 2021.
The production team expressed gratitude for the players’ support and apologized for the sudden announcement. They mentioned the difficulty in maintaining the app’s experience and assured that in-game events will continue until the service’s conclusion. The Japanese version of the game remains unaffected by this announcement and will continue as usual.
The service termination schedule is as follows:
- The in-game sale of items (Gems, Metal Cards, and Passport) will be discontinued on December 26, 2023, at 1:00 AM (PT).
- The auto-renewal of the Passport was halted on December 25, 2023, at 9:00 PM (PT).
- The service will be terminated on February 29, 2024, at 12:00 AM (PT) / 3:00 AM (ET).
