The well-known insider Kurakasis revealed on the Exputer forums that a mobile version of Final Fantasy XIV is currently in development. The company responsible for the port is reportedly Tencent.
Final Fantasy XIV is an epic fantasy game filled with dungeons, monsters, and a main story. In the vast world of Eorzea, players can form alliances with other adventurers and participate in battles against powerful creatures. In addition to the main quests, the game offers a variety of activities, including crafting, gathering, PvP, and events.
Although it was released in 2010, the game was initially not well received by critics. However, over the years, it continued to develop, receiving an online version in 2014 and, in early 2024, being released for the Xbox console.
So far, neither Square Enix nor Tencent have officially confirmed the speculation about the mobile version of Final Fantasy XIV. It is worth noting that several other games in the Final Fantasy franchise have already been released for mobile devices, including popular titles such as Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, and Final Fantasy VII. If the mobile version is confirmed, it is expected to be released after 2024.
