HoYoVerse, known for its popular titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, announced that it is expanding its team to develop a new MMO game. This project will be based on the Honkai universe, which already has a huge player base.
The MMO genre, short for “Massively Multiplayer Online”, refers to online games that support a large number of players simultaneously in the same virtual environment. These games can be open-world or not.
Recently, questionnaires for potential developers have been made available on the official HoYoVerse website regarding job requirements.
The confirmed platforms for the game include consoles, iOS, and Android. There is also the expectation that the game will be available for PC. However, the graphics engine to be used in development has not yet been disclosed. Ideal candidates for the positions should have knowledge of various 3D engines, such as Unreal, CryEngine, and Unity, as well as experience with open-world RPGs.
At the moment, details about the project are quite limited, and it may take some time before the company makes an official announcement.
