Launch of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China overloads servers

Tencent’s servers face difficulties with high demand following launch.

The recent release of the game Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China reached the top of sales on the local Apple App Store, surpassing the MOBA Honor of Kings. The mobile action RPG, which debuted on May 21, 2024, has maintained its leading position even after the launch of the RPG Wuthering Waves.

With a significant number of players eager to access the game, Tencent’s servers, responsible for supporting Dungeon & Fighter Mobile, encountered stability issues. During the first three days after the launch, the company undertook extensive technical work hours to stabilize the game’s services.

Dungeon & Fighter Mobile, based on the acclaimed Dungeon Fighter Online franchise originally released for PC in 2005, boasts a global fandom of 850 million users. The game retains the original version’s graphic style and dynamic combat system, offering a non-auto-combat experience in both PvE and PvP. The South Korean launch took place in March 2022.

So far, no information has been released about a global launch of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile.
