Today, HaoPlay studio announced that Metal Slug: Awakening, the latest title in the renowned shooter game franchise, is available for pre-loading on iOS and Android devices. The game servers are set to open tomorrow, July 18.

Metal Slug: Awakening maintains the series’ characteristic theme of intense action while introducing new features such as player cooperation and remastered graphics. The game also incorporates roguelike elements to deliver a dynamic and challenging experience.

With a wide variety of weapons at players’ disposal, including special abilities like flamethrowers, freezing, and rocket launchers, gamers can tackle enemies strategically. Weapons can be acquired mid-game through crates dropped from the sky, adding a tactical dimension to the gameplay.

Metal Slug: Awakening is not the first mobile game in the franchise. Previously, Metal Slug Defense was launched in 2014, followed by Metal Slug Attack in 2016. In 2020, a console-based version, Metal Slug Commander, debuted on mobile devices, further expanding the series’ universe on mobile platforms.
