Netflix Games sets a record with GTA: The Trilogy

A Rockstar’s collection of classic games was downloaded over 18 million times in a month by subscribers of the streaming service.

Netflix Games, Netflix’s mobile gaming platform, achieved a new milestone with the release of GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a remastered collection of the first three games in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The games were downloaded over 18 million times by iOS and Android users in just one month.

The success of GTA: The Trilogy boosted the total number of downloads for Netflix’s game catalog from around 10 million in November 2023 to 28 million in December. These are impressive figures, as the company aims to expand its game catalog by introducing new titles.

Other games that stood out in Netflix’s game catalog include Storyteller by Annapurna, with 9.4 million downloads to date, Too Hot to Handle with 8.4 million, and SpongeBob Squarepants: Get Cooking with 8.3 million.
