Pokémon TCG Pocket set to launch for mobile devices in October

New Pokémon card game arrives on Android and iOS at the end of October.

The latest game in the Pokémon series, titled Pokémon TCG Pocket, is set to be released for mobile devices on October 31, 2024. The game will be available for download on Android and iOS platforms.

Pokémon TCG Pocket is described as an enhanced version of the former Pokémon TCG Online, a game that was also available for Android and iOS before being removed from app stores and having its servers shut down in June 2023. The shutdown of Pokémon TCG Online led to the migration of player accounts to Pokémon TCG Live, another version of the game with a similar theme. However, TCG Live was not well received by the public, who reported issues such as bugs, crashes, and limited mechanics.

Pokémon TCG Pocket, on the other hand, appears to be an evolution of TCG Live, with significant improvements over the previous game. These improvements include remastered visual effects, an upgraded user interface, and the addition of new animations to provide a smoother gaming experience.

The game will allow players to collect cards of their favorite Pokémon and participate in battles using the cards they’ve gathered. According to the developers, players will be able to obtain two card packs per day at no additional cost, helping them build their decks.

The release of Pokémon TCG Pocket will occur simultaneously on the Google Play Store and the App Store, covering more than 89 countries. The game will be translated into various languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
