Skul: The Hero Slayer, which gained prominence on PC in 2021, has been released for mobile devices. Playdigious, known for bringing indie developers’ games to the mobile market, is the publisher responsible for the new version. In addition to Skul: The Hero Slayer, the publisher is also responsible for the mobile versions of Dead Cells, Loop Hero, and Little Nightmares.
The mobile port has retained the same content as the PC version. The adaptation focused on optimizing controls for touchscreens, allowing players to customize button layouts, a feature not common in all games of the genre. Additionally, there is support for gamepads, offering an alternative to touch controls.
At the heart of Skul: The Hero Slayer’s narrative is Skul, a skeleton who embarks on a mission to rescue the demon king captured by humans. The game features over 100 distinct characters, each equipped with special abilities. The items available in the game allow for a wide range of combinations to face adversaries. As characteristic of roguelike games, the hero’s progression occurs even after death, meaning that facing powerful enemies and dying is part of the game’s experience.
For Android and iOS users, Skul: The Hero Slayer is available under a premium model. During the launch period, the game is being offered at a 10% discount and can be purchased from both the Google Play Store and the App Store.
