SEGA has initiated the soft launch of Sonic Rumble, a new mobile game reminiscent of Fall Guys but featuring characters from the Sonic universe. The launch is currently restricted to the Philippines, and the game is available for both Android and iOS.
In Sonic Rumble, players participate in mini-games filled with obstacles and challenges, competing against other players. The game can be played solo or in teams. First announced in early 2024, the game’s trailer leaked online, revealing similarities to Fall Guys, another game with a similar theme.
The unique aspect of Sonic Rumble is that it takes place in the Sonic universe and includes characters and villains from the saga. The mini-games are not limited to dodging obstacles and racing to the finish line. Players also face villains and other challenges.
Currently, the game is in a soft launch phase only in the Philippines, with the possibility of expansion to other regions in the coming weeks. There is no official information on a global release date, but the game is scheduled to be launched later this year, in the northern hemisphere’s winter. SEGA is closely monitoring player feedback in the Philippines to make adjustments and improvements before the global release.
