The story of Dead Cells comes to an end: Evil Empire concludes development

Studio responsible for the roguelike Dead Cells announces closure with the last scheduled update.

Evil Empire, the studio known for creating one of the best roguelikes, Dead Cells, has announced that they will not continue working on the game. Despite this, the mobile version will still receive “Update 34” later this year, with “Update 35” being the final version.

In a detailed message, the developers at Evil Empire summarized their work on Dead Cells and expressed gratitude to the publishers they collaborated with. Additionally, they hinted at working on a new game, the details of which will be revealed soon. Check out the full announcement:

Dead Cells continues to be available on mobile platforms as a premium project and also through subscription services such as Apple Arcade, Netflix, and Google Play Pass.
