The Truecaller app, known for blocking harassing calls, is now collaborating with WhatsApp to identify and block unknown or unwanted calls on instant messaging apps. Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi stated that the feature is currently in beta testing and will be globally released later this month.
With around 350 million users worldwide, the popular Truecaller app is most widely used in India with around 250 million users. It operates as an intelligent interceptor for harassing calls and has been highly useful in helping people avoid unwanted calls.
Through the integration of Truecaller and WhatsApp, users will have even more control over the calls and messages they receive, as app-based calling is becoming increasingly common
