The open-world RPG game Genshin Impact, developed by the Chinese company miHoYo, has once again topped the mobile game revenue charts with gacha monetization in November 2023, according to data from the analytical agency Sensor Tower. The game generated approximately $54 million last month, an 8% increase compared to October.
Genshin Impact was launched in September 2020 and quickly became a global success, reaching over 17 million downloads in its first week.
However, in October 2023, Genshin Impact was surpassed by another game from the same company, Honkai: Star Rail, which is a sequel to the popular action game Honkai Impact 3rd. Honkai: Star Rail was released in April 2023 and features a new setting, new characters, and new gameplay mechanics. The game earned $45 million in October but dropped to $20 million in November, securing the third spot in the gacha game revenue ranking.
Second place went to Nikke: Goddess of Victory, a strategic RPG developed by the Korean company Shift Up. The game was launched in November 2023 and features various female characters. The game garnered $30 million in revenue in November.
