By the end of 2023, Mike Verdu, Netflix’s Vice President of Games, expressed a desire to expand the game catalog by 2024. To achieve this and cover costs, they are considering ways to generate revenue, including in-app purchases and the addition of ads.

According to The Wall Street Journal, discussions on monetizing Netflix games have been ongoing for months. Adding ads seems to be an option. Netflix has not officially confirmed these discussions or provided details on how ads would be implemented.
