The much-anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI, officially announced by Rockstar in December 2023, has sparked a series of speculations and inquiries among fans of the franchise. One of the most common questions revolves around the possibility of a mobile version of the game, available on platforms such as Android and iOS.
Although Rockstar has shown interest in recent years in adapting its games to the mobile universe, as evidenced by previous releases like GTA: Vice City, San Andreas, Chinatown Wars, and The Trilogy as the latest, the possibility of GTA 6 for mobile devices may be far from reality. The company has kept its flagship titles, including the iconic GTA 5, released over 10 years ago, exclusive to consoles and PC.
The company does not publicly disclose the reasons for avoiding releases on portable devices such as Android, iOS, or the Switch. However, unofficial information from internal sources reveals that the company places a high value on the experience and quality of its flagship products, arguing that portable devices would not offer the same level of experience to users.
