The MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) MARVEL Super War has ended its operations even before reaching global launch. Released experimentally in December 2019, the game promised to bring battles between iconic heroes and villains from the MARVEL universe to smartphones.
Initially available in selected countries, including South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and various Southeast Asian countries, the game failed to expand its presence to the global market. The developers announced the closure of the project. The reasons for the closure were not disclosed by the developers, but it appears that the low player adoption rate may have been a contributing factor.
With the closure of the MARVEL Super War pages on Google Play and the App Store, new downloads of the game have become impossible. However, those who already have the game installed on their devices can still enjoy it for the last time until the servers shut down, scheduled for July 18, 2024. Until then, all characters and skins will remain available to players.
MARVEL Super War stood out for allowing players to take on the roles of famous heroes and villains such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Deadpool in intense team battles in the style of the MOBA genre, akin to League of Legends and DOTA.
