Developer PlatinumGames has announced that the game World of Demons will be removed from Apple Arcade on January 18. Starting February 1, the servers will be deactivated, and the game will no longer be accessible, even for those who have already installed it.
Originally launched on April 2, 2021, World of Demons is an action game that puts players in the role of a samurai leading an army of yokai minions on a mission against evil. Set in a traditional Japanese setting, along the way, they will encounter samurai allies and a variety of yokai, each with their own techniques and combos. Players will enhance their skills to defeat all enemies, ultimately facing the fearsome Shuten Doji, the lord of all oni.
PlatinumGames has not disclosed the reason for ending the game’s service or whether it will return to Apple’s subscription service in the near future.
